Olubadan Warns Mogajis, Baales Against Harbouring Criminals

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has warned Mogajis and Baales in Ibadanland not to harbour criminals in their domains.

Ladoja gave the warning on Monday during the installation of 14 Mogajis and eight Baales at the Olubadan Palace, Oja Oba, Ibadan.

He urged the newly installed traditional leaders to take the security of their communities seriously, stressing that insecurity remains a major challenge in Nigeria.

According to him, grassroots leaders must remain vigilant and monitor activities within their areas, noting that their roles go beyond titles and come with responsibility.

“Security is everybody’s business,” the monarch said, urging community heads to avoid accommodating criminal elements and to report suspicious activities promptly.

The event was attended by prominent chiefs and traditional title holders in Ibadanland.
