Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the immediate dissolution of all political aides in Ondo State.

The decision, announced on Monday, March 30, 2026, affects all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) across the 18 local government areas of the state.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the move was described as part of efforts to enhance governance efficiency and improve service delivery.

The government also confirmed plans to appoint about 1,000 new aides, who will be drawn from the 203 wards across the state. The appointments are aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and improving coordination between the government and local communities.

The development comes amid recent resignations by some political aides and growing political activities in the state.
