Governorship aspirant and Honourable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Prof. Dahud Kehinde Shangodoyin (DKS), today met with the Interactive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party at Mahogany Hotel, Jericho, Ibadan, where he shared his vision for the continued growth and development of Oyo State.
The session was engaging and insightful, as Prof. Shangodoyin had a meaningful conversation with committee members, speaking on his experience in public service, leadership journey, and dedication to building on the achievements of the current administration.
He made it clear that his ambition to become Governor is driven by a strong desire to sustain progress while introducing innovative ideas that will directly impact the lives of the people. This vision, he noted, is captured in his policy document titled “The Roadmap for Consolidation of Oyo State Developments (2027–2031).”
Reflecting on his track record, Shangodoyin highlighted his contributions across key sectors such as education, infrastructure, and energy. He emphasized that his experience serving in different strategic ministries, along with his current role in advancing electricity reforms, has prepared him for the task ahead.
Members of the committee commended his depth, clarity, and practical approach, describing the engagement as productive and forward-thinking.
Speaking after the meeting, Prof. Shangodoyin expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the opportunity.
The meeting is part of the party’s ongoing consultations as the Peoples Democratic Party prepares to identify credible and capable candidates ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
